that we are in the sleddog business since 1997

that we have been racing Husky's since 1989

that we have 3 instructors:

    -who are qualified in artic survival with civil and military experience (one professionally involved in mountain search and rescue)

    -are qualified in first aid (one being a paramedic)

    -have years of experience in multiple day sleddog trips

that we can run 9 teams of 6 dogs at one time

that our youngest client on a sled ever was a 3 month old baby and the oldest a 72 years man who ran his own Axehandle team

that the dogs are rested at least 7 day's between mountain tours

that you will run a 5 or 6 dog team depending on your weight and capabilities

that each client run his own team

that we use 1 guide up to 5 teams and 2 guides up to 9 teams

that you decide yourself how much you will be involved in handling, harnessing and mushing the dogs

that the dogs like you to be involved

that our dogs are pure breed Siberian Husky's, they all have experience with miltiple day trips in the mountains.

that our dogs are very friendly, that we have had all our dogs since they were pups they are well trained and no problem around children

that we have more then 55 dogs living loose in a large yard , anyone who says they have no fights are telling stories, we have small ones, nothing serious and never when they are working.

that all our dogs are vaccinated and subject to regular veterinary checks

that our kennel meets and exceeds all Swedish and European regulations concerning animal health

that we have full insurance cover and have never had an accident
that all our trails leave from the kennels you step out of your cabin and onto your dogsled

that we have tracks that are maintained by our staff from 5km up to 55km, longer than that are snowmobile trails

that our kitchens and eating rooms are approved by Stromsunds government

that in december it is light around 0900hrs and dark again around 1500hrs it gets longer days as the winter goes on

that this is our full time employment and we have a staff of 5 people, our company is registered with the Swedish tax authority

that we are fully self operational, that we own all the accommodation and dogs, that way we can assure a high standard to our customers

We have 10 "SAW TOOTH MOUNTAIN SLEDS", which are the best in the world.

These tobogan dog sleds:

        -can pack enough gear to go out for 10 day's with a dogteam.

        -are so strong they are the wanted sled for the 1600km grueling Iditarod sleddograce.

        -are easy to handle even heavy loaded with gear or passenger, by adults or kids

We use "NORDKYN OUTFITTERS" dogharnesses which are comfortable to ware, easy to handle and fast drying.

They prevent wear on the dogs fur and are custom made for each dog separately to have a perfect fit.

We use high quality mountain tents, witch are proven in all the extreme places on earth like the Himalaya and the poles.

They are easy to put up even in extreme windy and cold conditions, and won't collapse under heavy snow.

They are light weight tents made with the newest materials around.

At Axe Handle we use "NORTHERN OUTFITTERS" extreme cold weather clothing.

We rent out their boots and mittens witch are proven in temperatures down to -60°C.

This is gear for cold weather survival and guaranteed not to be cold.

Top quality snowshoes are also part of our gear.

These snowshoes will bring us everywhere whatever the conditions.

They will make the track for the dogs when the snow is to deep for them.
