"ALMDALEN TOUR" an adventure trip into the mountains

A tour for just 2 days, maybe over a weekend. We take you to Almdalen.
An old style Swedish mountain farm, where you will sleep in fine cabins, and enjoy good food in the rest
aurant.
During this fantastic trip, your dog team will take you along rivers, through forests and up into the mountains.

This tour is perfect to combine with a Stockholm city trip or a couple of day's downhill skiing in Åre

Day 1... Transfer Östersund -Axehandle mountain arrive. Evening meal, (some instruction depending on arrival time) sleep in double room or cabin.

Day 2... Breakfast, instruction and leave to the mountains. Each person will drive a five/six dog team of huskies. We will stop along the way for coffee and lunch. Arriving at the cabin in the evening.

Day 3... Breakfast and begin the return trip. When we arrive at Axehandle in the evening you will be greeted by a warm meal and hot sauna!

Day 4... Breakfast, transfer to Östersund airport.

The trip is about 70 km each way. You will need to help the dogs sometimes, i.e pushing or running with the sled. You don't just stand on the sled and do nothing, you must work as a team with the dogs. Therefore you will need to have a basic level of fitness.
